The arrondissement of Bastia (Corsican: circundariu di Bastìa) is an arrondissement of France in the Haute-Corse department in the territorial collectivity of Corsica. It has 27 communes. Its area is 473.8 km².

"On the N199 in the direction of l'Île Rousse and on the coast northwest of Saint-Florent [https://www.mindat.org/loc-52066.html], there are chalcopyrite, molybdenite, and scheelite deposits.

Following the N198 and taking the road to Luri [https://www.mindat.org/loc-286163.html] and subsequently the road to Poggio-Castello, on the dumps of old workings there is cinnabar, pyrite, sphene [= titanite], and stibnite.

Following the previous itinerary towards Pino and taking the N198 again in the direction of Nonza, one will find, to the south of Punta-di-Canale, an important abandoned mine which still yields asbestos, crocidolite, serpentine, and chrysotile along the road and inside the mine itself." [Belot, 1978]
