A Cu,Ag,Zn,Au Mine

This mine is located across Railroad Creek from Holden Village.

It worked a lens shaped orebody with a length downdip of ~2,000' an a thickness of up to 100'. The zoned orebody ranges from a Zn rich footwall to a Cu rich hanging wall indicating the orebody is overturned. Radioactive mineralization occurs in the foot wall of the west end of the mine at the 1,950' and 2,325' levels.

Developments include 247,566' of drifts crosscuts and raises; 231,922' of core drilling

It operated from 1938 through 1957. A total of 212 million pounds of Copper, 40 million pounds of Zinc, 2 million oz of silver, and 600,000 oz of gold were produced form 10 million tons of ore.

The Holden mine is believed to have worked Kuroko type, volcanogenic massive sulfide deposit.
