The Serebryansky Kamen massif, 20 × 20 km in size, is located in the central part of the Kytlym Massif. The Kytlym Massif is located 40 km NW of the town of Karpinsky east of the Main Ural Fault in the Tagil–Magnitogorsk Megazone. The central zone is dominated by medium- to coarse-grained melano and mesocratic amphibole gabbro. During detailed geological study of the site located at the boundary between the central and inner zones, the taxitic
inequigranular rocks were identified among homogeneous melano- and mesocratic gabbro varieties. They occur as linear zones extending concordantly to the concentric structure of the massif. The inner zone is dominated by medium- to fine-grained mesocratic amphibole gabbro with poor titanomagnetite mineralization. The outer zone is composed of leuco to mesocratic unmineralized varieties. The transitions between zones are gradual. Vein gabbro pegmatites and anorthosite uniformly penetrating gabbro are the latest.
In 2018 and 2019, two zones of mesocratic rocks hosting lenticular melanocratic gabbro bodies at the Mednorudny site were sampled geochemically: the Severnaya and Yuzhnaya zones, 0.68 and 3.54 km2 in area, respectively.
