Arad is a city on the border of the Negev and Judean Deserts, 25 kilometers west of the Dead Sea.
Note:
The type locality of zadovite and aradite is not located in Arad but in the Tamar Regional Council, in the central part of the Hatrurim Basin, ~5 km southeast of the town of Arad (located on the border of the Negev and Judean Deserts).
