Trial prospect on copper sulphides (age unknown). Later, in the 19th century or earlier, also exploited for magnetite. Two calc-silicate lenses contain locally enriched sulphides (chalcopyrite, sphalerite, pyrite). There is no evidence of contact-metamorphism (Kolitsch & Brandstätter, 2012). The occurrence of cassiterite in the calc-silicates is noteworthy, and can be presently not explained from a geochemical-genetic point of view (Kolitsch & Brandstätter, 2012).

Prospects, dumps and outcrops at about 1700-1750 m a.s.l.
Archaeological studies were done of a very short adit following an ore vein in the upper lens. Charcoal dating revealed ages of 1470 and 1660 AD (Krause, 2007).
