Renowned for Opal Pineapples.
In the western part of the area, eg near Karunnera and Spring Hill, some sparse diamonds have been found, possibly related to some kimberlite diatremes, mafic dykes and ultramafic lamprophyre intrusions (Bottrill & Neef, 1988).
