Thick tabular crystals {001}, less commonly prismatic to acicular [001], or as thin plates with a triangular outline, flattened on {110}. {110} striated [001]; {201} commonly rough; {001} replaced by vicinal faces at times in the zones cx or cm. May appear pseudorhombohedral. Massive.
