A former lode Au-Ag-Mn occurrence mine located in the NE¼ sec. 32, T11N, R12W, SBM, on the S slope of Standard Hill, on private land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in rhyolite. The ore bodies are associated with fault zones in rhyolite porphyry. Three periods of faulting are traceable. Metallic sulfides and silica are deposited in deeper zones and calcite is impregnated with Fe & Mn oxides in the upper zones. Carbonate was leached near the surface leaving deposits of Mn & Fe in a matrix of silica. Associated rocks include Pliocene rhyolite. Local rocks include Tertiary intrusive rocks (hypabyssal), unit 7 (Northern Mojave Desert).
Workings include underground openings.
