The Ancasti Pegmatite District (APD) is located in the Ancasti range where barren and rare-element class granitic pegmatites. The district comprises several groups that, from north to south, are named La Pampa-Unquillo, Vilismán, El Taco, and Santa Bárbara. The La Pampa-Unquillo Group comprises predominantly rare-element pegmatites of beryl type, intruding gneisses and migmatites of the Sierra Brava Complex. More than 90 pegmatites were exposed to artisanal mining for beryl and muscovite, and there are no records of Li-bearing mineralization.
