Name(s) in local language(s):
Iron gossan in a volcano-sedimentary formation. These volcano-sedimentary rocks contain a lot of pyrite deposits in stratiform layers or in big veins. In the Gallic era and after in the XIX century, the gossan has been exploited until the primary pyrite zone was reached. Some few concentrations in Pb, Zn, Cu, As and Bi have been identified by a geochemical BRGM campaign in the 1970s.
