Proclaimed in 1970 as the 'Gammon Wilderness National Park', the name has now been changed (as of 2002) to The Vulkathunha-Gammon Ranges National Park.
The Park is located in the northern part of the Flinders Ranges immediately southwest of and adjacent to Arkaroola Sanctuary.
Consisting of 128 000 hectares, it is home to some of the states most endangered wildlife, including the Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby and the Flinders Ranges Purple Spotted Gudgeon (A sub speices of the fish only found here in the park).
All collecting is prohibited in this park.
