Uranium-bismuth-silver mine.

Pauliš et al. (2014) place the locality "6 km north of Lázně Kynžvart".

Note: The village of Smrkovec (Schönficht) was abandoned in 1946 and later destroyed completely.

Smrkovec (German Schönficht) is a defunct parish in the northwestern part of the Slavkov Forest in the Sokolov district. It lay at an altitude of about 700 m below the northwestern slope of the Kozák hill (747 m above sea level), approximately 7 km north of Kynžvart and 9 km south of Březová.

Smrkovec became an independent municipality in 1877, the Czech name was given in 1947 by honouring the German name Schönficht, which corresponds to the original name "beautiful spruce".

Smrkovec (Smrkovec u Březové) is also the name of a cadastral area with an area of ​​5.51 km².
