Description

Rhyolite, dacite, and other quartz- and alkali feldspar-bearing volcanic rocks played an important role in the evolution of continental crust.

Stage

Stage 4a: Earth’s earliest continental crust - Age: >4.4-3.0 Ga
19 : Granitic intrusive rocks
20 : Acidic volcanic rocks
