Miniera di Val Daone (Ricerche di uranio di Val Daone), Limes, Valle di Daone (Val Daone), Daone, Valle del Chiese, Valli Giudicarie, Provincia di Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol (Trentino-Südtirol), Italia

Uranium ore prospects excavated in the period 1957-1958 near the village of Limes. At the Pramaggiore prospecting concession, on the left side of the valley, 650 m of galleries were excavated by Somiren. Prospecting works were also performed on the right side of the valley.

Uranium mineralisation is hosted, as lenses, in grey sandstones of the Val Gardena Sandstone Formation (Arenarie della Val Gardena) of upper Permian age, which contains dispersed organic matter. Associated with the U mineralisation are also small quantities of Fe and Cu minerals.
