Perigranitic and C-Si-pelite-type uranium deposits, hosted by Sinian and Lower Cambrian metasediments in the contact zone of the Miao'ershan and Yuechengling granitic complexes, and intragranitic-type uranium deposits within the Miao'ershan granitic complex. The Miao'ershan and Yuechengling massifs are elongated, parallel NE-trending bodies with an outcrop area of about 1,000 km2 each, straddling the border between Guangxi and Hunan provinces. They consist mainly of Caledonian hornblende-monzonitic granite. The Miao'ershan massif is intruded by small Indosinian biotite granites and Yanshanian two-mica granites, which host the uranium deposits. In the Yuechengling massif, younger intrusions and uranium deposits are absent.

Deposits in this ore field were explored during the 1960s and 1970s, but have not been mined.
