Sørøyane Islands (west of Hareidlandet) is a group of island in the Herøy municipaliity and consist of the following islands: Nerlandsøya, Leinøya, Remøya (Rimøya), Bergsøya, Runde og Skorpa.

They show numerous outcrops of UHP eclogites, in a zone located around Ulsteinvik.

Kyanite eclogites from Ulsteinvik underwent retrogression to granulitic and amphibolitic assemblages during exhumation.
Hydrated zones show a replacement of eclogites by symplectites and plagioclase-bearing assemblages.
Echelon microfractures show complex assemblages with sapphirine, corundum, diopside and plagioclase.
