Closed location. Granite Pegmatite. Oxford pegmatite field. Hosted by the Patch Mountain member (a calc-silicate) of the Sangerville Formation. The contact contains diopside, calcite, minor grossular and perhaps vesuvianite.

The larger upper quarry is probably the original opening, active in the early 1860s and early 1890s, possibly also in the 1930s. The lower prospect may have been opened in the mid-1950s and many fluorapatite specimens were produced in the 1980s.
