Alteration: Limonite Staining And Bleaching Of Red Sandstone Along Vein
Deposit type: Sediment-hosted Cu
Development: Prospected before 1943.
Geology: The vein is apparently along an extension of the same fracture that controls mineralization at the pecos mine. Fragments of chalcopyrite and sandstone locally occur in (fault?) breccia with a barite matrix. Sandstone is highly sheared along vein, suggesting some fault movement.
Rock formation(s): Hazel Formation
