Structure: N15 W. Fissure

Alteration: Skarn-Silication

Deposit: Lenses of lime silicate rock formed parallel to bedding along or near intrusive contact. This group of mines/claims covers the areg of s.side of mouth of battle creek: myers creek. This group of claims (9) also is known As the friday group. Production from these claims is recorded intermittently, from 1908-1955. The main workings are a 400' adit in limestone (monbolized) and an open cut main ore minerals are galena, copper carbonates; cerusite, anglesite As coatings on galena; sphalerite, lenses of lime silicate rock pemmed parallel with the bedding, along or near the intrusive contact. The friday group was located in 1906 and acquired by the friday gold mining co. The crescent workings are about 1/4 mile e. Of the adit, and consist of a shallo W shaft on a vertical fracture trending n.15 deg w. Cutting crystalline white limestone and lime silicate rock. Copper carbonates are minor along this fissure--specks of bornite, production of varying amounts is recorded for the battle creek group-friday battle creek tungsten mine--see separate sheet. This highest one grade shipped from the battle creek group since 1949 was65% lead, and 14.2% zinc, and 1.3 oz silver from the noonday mine mica was minedfrom the ruby valley claim by c.w. Kennedy in 1939-41. ; info.src : 1 pub lit

Deposit type: Skarn Zn-Pb

Development: 9 claims; intermittent production from 1908 to 1955. Mica was mined from the ruby valley claim by c.w. Kennedy in 1939-1941

Geology: N65w, 50 s W of dipping "vein" in replacement zone in coarse grained white marble, pegmatites parallel "vein", vein is composed of quartz pale green tremolite, calcite, lots of sphalerite, galena, calcite crystals in vugs along fractures parallel to strike-maybe 5'-10' wide, weak skarn zone w/pegmatite along margins.

Ore(s): Intrusive Contact
