A zone of high grade Au-Ag-Sb-As mineralisation was found recently by KBL Mining Ltd, quite different to the main copper mineralisation in the area. It is about 1km NW of the Mineral Hill plant, and has a resource of about 300,000t @ 6.5g/t Au and 80g/t Ag. The mineralisation is low temperature, sulphide poor, hosted in a highly sericitised shear zone. The primary sulphides are mostly colloform pyrite, arsenopyrite and stibnite, with some supergene mineralisation rich in Sb and As minerals, plus silver halides. Miargyrite is the main silver mineral; gold is rarely visible.
