Oloví (German: Bleistadt) is a town and municipality in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic.
Pb-Zn mining district (quartz veins with galena and sphalerite penetrating mica-schist west of the Carlsbad granite massive).
The old German name Bleistadt literally means 'lead city'.
Pb mining documented from 1314. From the 13th to the 16th century, mining was done by the Hartenberg family, Later by the Šlik family (Jáchymov owners), and in 1561 the town of Oloví was given the statute of "royal mining town". Mines were active with variable profit until their closure in 1880. After closure, there were two unsuccessful reopenings (in 1916 and in the 1930s) and a geological survey in the 1950s.
