Coto Vivaldi
The Coto Vivaldi mine was a mine operated by Minero Siderurgica de Ponferrada MSP. From the 1950s until 1977, a 350 m deep pit was operated at four levels.
Its reserves are estimated at 63 million tonnes.
The host rock is quartzite and slate, being exploited minerals: magnetite, pyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, the bargain is made up of chlorite group, apatite, graphite, quartz.
Today its wide tailings are occupied by a golf course.
