Mountain range in the Alps of eastern Switzerland and northern Italy.
Note: This range is not to be confused with the the Oberhalbstein Valley (in German: Oberhalbstein), which is located within the range. It is a major southern branch of the Albula valley. Although it does not form part of that valley, it forms part of its catchment.
Surses is the Romansh name of the Swiss community occupying the valley area. For references on the Oberhalbstein Valley, see the Surses page.
