Field collecting and sharing is generally my approach with mindat.org I've been collecting minerals from the Ottawa area all the way through to the Renfrew-Frontenac counties through the Bancroft area of Ontario; as well as some spots north of Ottawa in Quebec and the Adirondacks, New York state. Please feel free to ask about any site associated with my photos, as they were all collected at some point in the field.

Currently I am a member of the Mineral Interest Group/Ottawa Lapsmith and Mineral Club (OLMC) in Ottawa, the Walker Mineral Club in Toronto, UV Nomads club, Kawartha Rock & Fossil Club (KRFC), and Kingston Lapidary & Mineral Club (KLMC) in Ontario, Canada. Collecting at the old localities as well as some newly found ones is simultaneously a very exciting, and yet quite relaxing experience for me. It gives me further purpose to collect interesting specimens that might aid in research or gives excitement to others who appreciate seeing an unlikely find that they too could aim to field collect.
