A former lode Au-Pb-Zn-Cu-Fe-Sb mine located in sec. 32, T1N, R16E, MDM, 4.9 km (3.1 miles) ESE of Eastman Ranch (approximately 4 miles S of Tuolumne), along the S bank of the Tuolumne River, just upstream of river mile 82, S of Paper Cabin Ridge, on private (patented) land within a National Forest area. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate. The ore body strikes E and dips 60N at a thickness of 1.52 meters. 3 ore shoots were discovered, pitching 45E and 80, 50 & 60 feet in length, respectively. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings with an overall length of 137.16 meters, and comprised of 3 adits at 350, 275 & 300 feet in length, respectively.
