Molybdenum & tungsten minerals
Structure: Hermit Peak Thrust Fault
Tectonics: Sangre De Cristo Uplift
Deposit: Molybdenite, chalcopyrite, scheelite and bismuthinite occur together As small, scattered pockets in a white, coarse grained pegmatic quartz vein striking N 60 E. The vein cuts pink, coarse-grained granite (or quartz monzonite and contains some orthoclase, muscovite, and fluorite. Abundant brown limonite and canary-yellow ferromolybdite and some malachite and azurite are present at the surface. Discovery year: 1900's
Geology: The precambrian has no formal name in this area.
Ore(s): Quartz Vein
