Deposit: Vein this mine is located in the hanks group of claims (hanks no. 1) the mine is about 500 ft. Outside of the contact, on a banded lode or bed 8 ft. Wide. The lode is opened by an inclined shaft 120 feet deep, and a 75-ft. Drift to the n W on the 25 ft. Level. Nearly all work was done in 1895-6 by w.t. Mcardle. Mine was last worked in 1899. 100 tons of ore on the dump average 7% cu, and 4 oz/ton Ag (schrader, 1912, p 137). ; info.src : 1 pub lit

Geology: Siliceous syenite dikes occur nearby the deposit. To a depth of 100 ft. The lode dips 70 deg in toward the contact, but straightens from this point downward. (schrader, 1912, p 137).
