Maps show the Fleagle Anomaly 16, 2 kilometres north of Ora Banda, now a shallow open pit bordering the east side of the Ora Banda-Davyhurst Road. Maps also note a Fleagle locality 500 metres north-east of the Ora Banda state battery, either a line of half a dozen old shafts either side of the track, or small bulldozed area 200 metres to the north.
It is unknown who or what the mine is named after. Modern terminology would have me banned from Mindat if mentioned, although I did learn something new!
The pit was developed by Centaur Mining and Exploration producing 46 516 tonnes of ore at 1.4 g/t yielding 2037 ounces of gold.
