Both names are mentioned on maps and other sources. The mine is about 3 kilometres east of Ora Banda, bordering the north side of the Broad Arrow-Ora Banda Road, and just east of the Enterprise mine haulage road. The Lady Evelyn mine is immediately south bordering the south side of the Broad Arrow-Ora Banda Road. The Missed Chance is a line of north-west to south-east trending shafts amongst the scrub.
The only information about the mine was found in 1936. The mine was owned by Curtis and Rickwood (surnames), however Curtis sold out to Couts (or Kouts). Murray is also noted as a part owner in one source.
GML 2117W. There had been a crushing early 1936 from the 35 foot level, the width of the lode not ascertained as neither the Footwall or Hanging Wall had been struck to that point. It is a soft schistose formation, with about 50% quartz veins and leaders showing gold freely.
Later in 1936 a new shaft had been sunk to 75 feet, with the reef struck at 14 feet down. In October 1936 was a crushing of 259 tonnes for 102.39 ounces of gold.
