An old gold mine in which the gold is in arsenopyrite.
History:
Circa 1905-08: R.G. Leckie - 3 shafts developed, pitting, 244 tonnes of ore processed.
1909: Grey's Siding Development Company Ltd. - pitting, in production.
1934-48: Manitoba and Eastern Mines Limited - DD-12-3000 ft, U/G drilling, U/G development.
1948: Penrose Gold Mines Limited - ground geophysics.
1985-89: Stroud Resources Limited and Lacana Mining Ltd. - mapping, trenching, sampling, ground geophysics, sampling, geochemistry, DD-84-29,684.5 ft,
1995: Wabana Explorations Inc. - airborne geophysics.
Geology:
An altered and sheared zone, striking N14W and dipping 50-60°w in intermediate to mafic metavolcanics, contains discontinuous arsenide-bearing quartz veins for approximately 2000 ft.
