Occurrences of hematite. Located 1.7 km NW of Ebene Reichenau.

A number of adits were driven and some open pits were dug before WW I and again before WW II, mainly for prospecting purposes. It was believed to be a large contiguous occurrence of hematite but this was not the case. The small volume of ore expected and the remoteness would not allow an economical operation.
O. M. Friedrich came to the same conclusion in 1978.

3 adits are still visible and partly accessible. They are difficult to find, best to follow the description in A. Pichler (2003).

Location of visible adits approx. at N46.86427 E13.87714, elev. 1490 m; N46.86218 E13.88175, elev. 1370 m and N46.86036 E13.88196, elev. 1390 m.

Prospecting was also done around N46.85102 E13.90624, but nothing visible is left.
