Hydrothermal vein-type fluorite deposits, hosted in silicified fracture zones in Yanshanian granitic rocks that intruded into a suite of Carboniferous limestones and Sinian tuffs, phyllites, sandstones and marbles.
Fluorites from this area are mostly pale green, white or grey, but occasionally also purple or pink.
