Sediment samples provided various minerals including Arsenoflorencite(Ce).
Nickel & Temperly are vague in describing this locality. The reference simply states that a sample "was derived from the Carpentarian Corunna Conglomerate, and consisted mainly of limonite and rock fragments, minor amounts of barite, ilmenite, rutile, tourmaline and arsenoflorencite-(Ce), and a few grains of epidote, garnet, kyanite and zircon".
The Corunna Conglomerate comprises a series of discontinuous areas. A north-south area southwest of Whyalla, an area in the Moonabie Range, an area at Roopena, an area around Iron Knob, an area around Corunna Homestead, and an area in the Uno Range.
It is unclear why the description includes "Carpentarian" as there is no Carpentaria locality in South Australia. It is suggested that it refers to exploration by Carpentaria Exloration Co., which drilled extensively for oil and gas throughout South Australia.
