Description: Occurs in schist "country rock" surrounding pegmatites.

Habit: crystals to 3 inches long
Colour: green to blue
Description: Blue and green crystals are associated with spodumene pegmatites. Black crystals (schorl) are associated with non-spodumene pegmatites on Long Hill.
