A former lode Au-Mo-Fe-Cu-Zn-As occurrence/mine located in the NW¼SW¼ & in the SW¼NW¼ sec. 27, T18N, R13E, MDM, 1.5 km (0.9 mile) SSW of Summit City, SSW of Hartley Butte, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in diorite. The ore body is discontinuous, strikes N30W, dips NE50SW at a thickness of 13.72 meters. The ore was estimated to carry 10 to 20% sulfides. Free Au occurs only in decomposed sulfides. Local alteration includes surface oxidation of the vein. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 5 (Northern Sierra Nevada and Eastern Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface and underground openings with a length of 274.32 meters and an overall depth of 54.86 meters.

Production data are found in: Logan, Clarence August (1924).
