The deposit was discovered in 1998 by Giants Reef Mining Ltd. They estimate it contains 8000 tonnes of ore at 20 g/t Au. It is a gold, copper, and bismuth deposit. Much hyped by Giants Reef at the time, but it remains un-mined. Emmerson Resources at the time of writing owns the lease. It has plans to open several very small gold mines in the district, processing ore through a central plant. Billy Boy is on that list.
