A W-Sb occurrence/prospect/mine located in the center of sec. 9, T25S, R32E, MDM, 4.3 km (2.6 miles) N of Alta Sierra, along the E canyon wall of Cow Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in metasedimentary rock. White, coarsely crystalline limestone crops out in a belt 100 feet wide along the eastern contact of the pendant. A breccia zone contains some stringers of quartz. Local alteration involved the limestone in the fault zone altering to tremolite and diopside. Associated rocks include diorite. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.
Local structures include a fault which strikes N35E with a nearly vertical dip.
Workings include surface and underground openings com prised of 2 shallow shafts (now caved), and 2 open cuts. The upper open cut is a bench 75 feet long, with a 40 foot face. The lower cut is about 50 feet long with an irregular face 10 to 15 feet high.
