Gamle gruve, Strømsheia (Straumsheia), Valle, Agder, Norge
The Gamle mine is probably the oldest of the mines at the Straumsheia, and first mined in 1860 by business man Peder Linde from Kristiansand.
The mine consists of a shallow quarry with some minor vertical shafts.
In 1844 determined Scheerer (Neumann 1954) that the average copper content of two piles of ore near the mine was respectively 66,39 and 37,97%.
According to professor Esmark (Neumann 1954) contain the ore 0,69% silver and some gold.
