Fluorite vein mineralisation hosted mainly in slates and phyllites of the Lower Jurassic Shemshak Formation and rarely in Triassic limestones.
Currently being mined in open pits dug along veins (Ehya, 2012).
Located close to the Bozijan village, 37 km west of Mahallat city.
The area around Mahallat city comprises a fluorspar district which includes the Bozijan, Bagher Abad, Darreh Badam, and Atash Kuh deposits (Ehya, 2012).
