Rocca di Cavrenno (meaning: Fortress of Cavrenno) is an isolated outcrop of ophiolites close to the Raticosa Pass. It is a conical relief, consisting of Calpionelle limestone, which stands on the surrounding Palombini shales. On the eastern side there are two pinnacles: the highest, also in limestone, is a climbing gym, while the second is made of spilitized basalts. At the foot of the outcrop is an accumulation of metabasalt debris, extensively colonized by mosses and lichens.
