Miniera del Vallone di Elva (Miniera del Vallone dell'Elva), Stroppo, Valle Maira (Val Maira; Valle Macra), Provincia di Cuneo, Piemonte, Italia

Vein of argentiferous fahlore, embedded in light grey dolomite (Norian, Upper Triassic), that crops out on the right side of the first stretch of Provincial Road 104 (also known as "strada del Vallone", "Vio d'la Coumbo" or "Orrido di Elva"), ascending the canyon of Vallone di Elva (also named "Comba del Vallone" or "la Coumbo d'Elvo") towards the village of Elva. Although attempts to exploit the ore vein were made in ancient times (Nicolis de Robilant, 1786), it was worked during the construction of the road in 1919. A short adit, ca. 40 m long, is visitable. Another excavation is located on the opposite side of the valley (Prazzo municipal territory).

Fluorite crystals, differently coloured and shaped, with three-phase inclusions have been recently found (Fortunato et al., 2016).
