ⓘ Mieite-(Y) (TL) Formula: Y4Ti(SiO4)2O[F,(OH)]6 Type Locality: Description: First described under the name as Yfitisite by Matsubara et al 2014. The chemical and XRD studies indicated that it is identical with yftisite from Kola Peninsula, Russia (Pletneva, et al., 1971). Since no there is no valid type specimen of ‘yftisite’ to be re–examined for the re–defination and comparison, the mineral from this pegmatite was used for a re-definition of the phase, approved by IMA (20014-020) and given the name Mieite-(Y).
