Mânzăleşti is located about 70 Km north-west from Buzău City, in the south-eastern part of Penteleu Mountain.
Salt exokarst complex with area of 3.4 Km², Aquitanian salt blocks.
Over the lower Cretaceous basement, crusts of sandstone were formed, shales and marls in addition on sedimentary beds with a rich carbonate contribution.
