"(Coming from Chamonix-Mont-Blanc). Close to the glacier, on the 'crête de Charlet-Straton' ['Charlet-Straton ridge'] there is albite, chlorite, fluorite, epidote, and colourless and smoky quartz.
At the 'Pointe des Améthystes', there is amethyst, albite, ankerite, hematite, and smoky quartz." [Belot, 1978]
