Name(s) in local language(s):
Ancienne mine de La Pause
A former lead mine worked from 1720 to 1857 by the Blumenstein family (German miners). Two long quartz-baryte veins (the "white vein" and the "red vein") were operated over their entire lengths by several adits collapsed today (but the large dumps are always very visible in the landscape!). It was the main mine (at least the most profitable!) in this area: almost 2,800 tons of lead were worked out during the operation.
