Ruby-bearing cordieritite layers or lenses, intercalated within biotite-cordierite-sillimanite-bearing charnockite. The deposit was exploited by a private company from 2000 to 2001. The deposit occurs in the Androyan metamorphic series.
Located about 10 km NE of Isoanala.
