I am a geologist with a love for apatite group minerals, siderite, and alpine-cleft style minerals from anywhere they occur. Fortunately for me, both apatite and siderite occur in the alpine-cleft environments, so a bit of double-jeopardy there, gets me twice over.

These are my attempted foci for my collection, but of course anything that I find odd or unusual often makes its way into my collection too

For a few years I pursued a PhD at Colorado School of Mines utilizing apatite to further our understanding of the fundamental nature of ore deposits, and its use in vectoring towards new deposits. I ultimately left the PhD as I just needed to get out there and work.

Currently working as an exploration geologist with a focus on porphyry-skarn Cu-Au-Mo deposits.

There are way too many NEAT rocks out there, but I'm trying to see as many of them as possible.
