Description | Sporolithon ptychoides is a species of crustose red seaweed with a hard, calcareous skeleton in the family Corallinaceae. It has a widespread distribution, being present in the Pacific and Indian Oceans, the Mediterranean Sea and the southwestern Atlantic Ocean.
