Name:
Named for Boris Nikolaevich Nasledov (4 November 1885 – 17 November 1942), Russian geologist and "tireless investigator of the mineral resources of Kara-Mazar." He was a founder of the Uzbek school of ore geology. He was also a professor of the Samarkand and Central Asian universities. He was an expert on the Karamazar ore cluster and studied the geological structure and metallogeny of the Chatkal and Kuramin mountains.

General Appearance of Type Material:
Oölites consisting of snow-white radiating fibers with silky luster, covered by a fine film of dark-brown to reddish material.
Geological Setting of Type Material:
Found in sooty pyrolusite and ocherous iron oxides, filling fissures in altered granodiorite porphyries that enclose polymetallic ore.
