1681A-3, Beatrix LXX, 371.7-387.0 m; Dijkstra's collection, Netherlands | Batten D. J., Collinson M. E. (2001) | This locality is either upper Palaeocene or Palaeocene/Eocene boundary. Downhole of this locality are marine limestones assigned to the Early Palaocene (Montain). The Montain has now been formalized as the Swalmen Member of the Landen Formation. This collection is from the same locality as 1680 (PBDB 34404). | 58.7 - 33.9 Ma Paleogene
1681A-4, Beatrix LXX, 371.7-386.4 m; Dijkstra's collection, Netherlands | Batten D. | 58.7 - 33.9 Ma Paleogene
1681A-5, Beatrix LXX, 371.7-386.4 m; Dijkstra's collection, Netherlands | Batten D. This collection is presumably from the same locality as 1681A-4. | 58.7 - 33.9 Ma Paleogene

Maasniel State Mine LXXIV borehole, 457.0-475.0 m | Batten D. J., Collinson M. E. (2001) | Landen - Swalmen | In the Netherlands the samples from the borehole at Maasniel, drilled during the period 1953-1956, is derived from lithologies described as 'Limnic Montain (Upper Montain)' in the original log data of the Geological Survey of the Netherlands. This succession has now been formalized as the Swalmen Member of the Landen Formation which spans the Thanetian (Late Palaeocene) and the debated boundary interval. However, the member is dated as Late Palaeocene, Thanetian, on the grounds that it represent | 59.2 - 33.9 Ma Paleogene |
